1. GENERAL
INFORMATION
The State of Jharkhand is widely being acknowledged as
the region of natural magnificence with its beautiful hills,
waterfalls, forests, sanctuaries, glorious tribal culture and
climate as well as different places of famous pilgrimages like
Deoghar, Parasnath, Rajrappa, etc.
The
State Government aims at making Jharkhand as the most preferred
destination for tourists. As such the Government has decided to
organize and celebrate festivals of international standard to
attract upon different audience, specially national and
international tourists by depicting various aspects of various
tourism sites, tourism promotion, attracting investments in
tourism sector covering wide tourist locations of Jharkhand such
as Deoghar, Hazaribag, Ranchi, Netarhat, etc.
Consequently
The Department of Tourism has planned to create event-based
brand properties. This strategic foray into event tourism is on
similar lines as some of the worlds most visited tourist
destinations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Egypt, Europe etc.
Even
back home, this model of promoting tourism through strategic
events has been successful as has been observed in states like
Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Goa etc. To truly match the
endeavors of Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand on a
world standard, it has been planned to constitute some key
creative and technical components to make these festivals a
grand success.
These
proposed festivals will showcase artistes from the state in
tandem with performers from the rest of the country and even
around the world.
Accordingly,
offers are invited from reputed artiste management agencies for
empanelment as agencies
on record for procuring and managing artistes, as and when
required for during various festivals to promote tourism in
Jharkhand.
Details
with respect to submission of such proposal can be obtained from
“Terms of Reference for
Constituting a
Panel of Artiste Management Agencies on record for proposed
festivals to promote Tourism in Jharkhand, available with
the Department of Tourism, F.F.P Bhawan, 2nd floor, Dhurwa,
Ranchi on any working day upon payment of Rs.5000.00 (Five
Thousand only) in the shape of
D/D, payable to the Under
Secretary, Department of Tourism, Jharkhand at Ranchi.
It
may also be downloaded from www.jharkhand.gov.in , in which case
the fee in the form of demand draft should be enclosed with the
bid document at the time of submission.
The
offers from eligible Agencies for such empanelment initially can
be submitted on 04.08.2008 before 1400 hrs on any working day
during office hours alongwith all relevant supporting documents.
A
pre-bid meeting shall be held in the office of the Department of
Tourism, Jharkhand, Ranchi at 1200 hrs on 28.07.2008
The
technical part of this bid shall be opened on 04.08.2008 at 1600
hrs before the duly constituted committee. The bidder or his
duly authorized representative may be present during opening of
the technical bid.
Later
also, the offers from eligible Agencies for such empanelment may
be submitted on any working day during office hours alongwith
all relevant supporting documents, which would be examined by
the duly constituted committee subsequently.
The
undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject in part or as
a whole any of the proposal received without assigning any
reason thereof.
