The
State of Jharkhand is endowed with immense bio-diversity,
moderate climate, rich cultural and historical heritage, and
religious places of worship and ethnic aspects to make the State
the ultimate destination for tourists.
The State Government has a firm
belief that development of tourism sector would not only
generate immense employment opportunities – directly or
indirectly – but also would contribute in accelerated economic
development. This
would not only ensure showcasing of rich traditional and
cultural heritage of the State but also would have cascading
effect in development of other sectors. Rightfully, the State
Government has accorded Tourism the status of Industry in
Jharkhand.
Consequently,
the State Government has decided to engage the services of a
reputed promotional agency
to assist in promoting Jharkhand Tourism. The agency is
expected provide thrust to tourism promotional activities, for a
proposed period of two (2) years.
Accordingly,
proposals are invited from reputed and experienced Promotional
Agencies.
1. Tender Procedure
1.
The Bidders should submit the proposals in two parts:
(a)
Technical Bid
(b)
Financial Bid
2. Technical
part should contain all such details as mentioned in the Bid
Document.
3. Financial
part should contain the financial bid inclusive of all
admissible taxes, duties and levies, etc.
The details of the financial bid should also be included
for better appreciation of the bid.
4. These
two parts should be submitted in separate sealed and
superscribed envelop.
5. Both
the envelopes should then be sealed in a third envelop marked as
“TENDER FOR POVIDING SERVICES AS PROMOTIONAL AGENCY TO PROMOTE
TOURISM IN JHARKHAND”. The firm should also superscribe on the top of the envelope
the name of the firm, tender notice number, name of the
materials offered, date of opening and details of earnest money
deposited.
6. A
complete set of Bid Document may be purchased by interested
eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application to
Under Secretary, Tourism Department, Government of Jharkhand
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2000/-
(Rupees two thousand only) in the form of Demand Draft in
favour of The Under Secretary, Tourism Department, Ranchi,
payable at Ranchi.
7. The
Bid Document may be purchased personally during office hours on
all working days from 09.06.2008 to 01.07.2008 It may also be
downloaded from www.jharkhand.gov.in
in which case, the fee in the form of demand draft should
be enclosed with the bid document at the time of submission.

The last date for submission of bid is 02.07.2008
up to 1400 hrs
9.
A pre-bid conference will be held on 17.06.2008 at
1100 hrs. in the Department of Tourism, F.F.P. Bhavan, 2nd
floor, HEC, Dhurwa, Ranchi.
10. All
tenders should be addressed to the Under Secretary, Department
of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand, and sent to the following
address:

11. The
technical bid shall be opened on 02.07.2008 at 1630 hrs.
before the duly constituted committee.
The bidder or his authorized representative may remain
present during the opening of such bid.
12. Tender
can be submitted by hand or by post.
If the tender is sent by post, the department will not be
responsible for delay in postal transit.
13. On the
date of opening, only Part-I
(Technical Bid) will be opened. Part-II (Financial Bid)
shall be opened subsequently only of those tenders, whose
Technical Bid qualifies as per the laid norms of this tender.
14.
Tenders received after due date and time will be
rejected.
