INVITATION
OF OFFERS FROM REPUTED SOFTWARE CONSULTANTS FOR DEVELOPING STATE
OF THE ART WEBSITE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM, GOVERNMENT OF
JHARKHAND, RANCHI
The
state of Jharkhand is endowed with immense bio-diversity,
moderate climate, rich cultural and historical heritage,
religious place of worship and ethnic aspects to make the State
the ultimate destination for tourists. The State Government has
a firm belief that development of tourism sector would not only
generate immense employment opportunities directly or indirectly
but also would contribute in accelerated economic development.
This would not only ensure showcasing rich traditional and
cultural heritage of the State but also would have cascading
effect in development of other sectors.
Rightfully,
the State Government has accorded TOURISM THE STATUS OF INDUSTRY
in Jharkhand. It is felt that to ensure rapid development in
tourism sector, there is a need to develop tourist circuits and
destinations providing various amenities, both way-side and at
different destination point, supporting the tourists by
providing conveyance, lodging and other pre-requisites, etc.
Involvement
of private sector, villagers and other stake holders as partner
in promotion and development of tourism industry of the State is
an important and critical aspects which would go a long way in
maintenance, upkeep and sustenance of the assets and facilities
created in this regard for a long time.
Making
the people of the State, Nation and the World aware of the rich
endowments of nature, its cultural heritage, spiritual places
and other traditions are essential impediments for boosting
tourism industry in the State.
In
the modern management system, timely information flow has
assumed a great importance. In this direction and in keeping
with the Management Information System introduced by the other
departments of the Government of Jharkhand, the Department of
Tourism endeavors to make commitment towards a transparent
administration and an easy flow of information through state of
the art website.
The
proposed website would facilitate easy access of information to
promote tourism in Jharkhand and apprise potential tourist
regarding various tourist facilities available in the State.
This website would also facilitate private investment in tourism
sector in the State. A Departmental internal Management
Information System (MIS) is also to be developed to monitor and
regulate the process of policy formation and implementation,
tourism development, budgeting, man power management, an
accounting system and inter departmental communication.
Accordingly,
proposals are invited from reputed, well experienced and
qualified Software Consultants of repute capable of developing
such state of the art website for the Department of Tourism,
Government of Jharkhand.
Tender
Procedure
The
Bidder should submit the proposals in two parts:
1.
Technical Bid
2.
Financial Bid
i)
Technical part should contain all such details as
mentioned in the Bid Document along with the Earnest Money
Deposit (EMD) of Rs.20000/- (Twenty Thousand only) in form of
Demand Draft in favour of The
Under Secretary, Department of Tourism, Ranchi payable
at Ranchi.
ii)
Financial part should contain the financial bid inclusive
of all admissible taxes, duties and levies etc.. The details of
the financial bid should also be included for better
appreciation of the bid.
iii)
These two parts should be submitted in separate sealed
and superscribed envelops.
iv)
Both the envelops should then be sealed in a third
envelop marked as “TENDER FOR DEVELOPING WEBSITE FOR THE
Department of Tourism”
A
complete set of Bid Document may be purchased by interested
eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application to
the Under Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of
Jharkhand FFP Bhawan, Dhurwa, Ranchi upon payment of a non
refundable fee of Rs. 2000/-(Rupees Two Thousand) only in
the form of Demand Draft in favour of The Under Secretary,
Department of Tourism, Ranchi, payable at Ranchi. The Bid
Document may be purchased personally during office hours on all
working days from 05.05.2008 to 26.05.2008
It may also be downloaded from www.jharkhand.gov.in
in which case the fee in the form of demand draft should be
enclosed with the bid document at the time of submission.
A
pre-bid conference will be held on 13.05.2008 at 1100 hrs
in the office of the Department of Tourism, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
The
last date for submission of bid is 27.05.2008 upto 1400
hrs at the following address:

The
technical bid shall be opened on 27.05.2008 at 1630 hrs
before the duly constituted committee.
The
bidder or his duly authorized representative may remain present
during opening of the Bid.
The
Right of acceptance/ rejection of any offer shall remain
reserved with Department of Tourism.
