Application
is invited for filling the post of Director, Rajendra
Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi an autonomous
institution under Government of Jharkhand.
1.
The Director of the institute will be Chief Executive
of the institution and will be responsible for its management,
along with preparation and execution of the development plans.
He will report to the Governing Council of this institute of
which he will be the Member - Secretary.
2.
The incumbent of the post must possess the prescribed
qualification as mentioned below :
A.
ESSIENTIAL :
1.
As prescribed by Medical Council of India.
2.
High post graduate qualification in any Medical, Public
Health or Allied
Sciences.
3.
Teaching and/or research experience of not less than
ten years out of which five years should be as professor.
4.
Twenty-five years of Standing in the profession after
obtaining MBBS degree.
B.
Desirable :
Extensive practical & administrative experience in
the field of medical relief, medical research, medical
education or public health organization and adequate
experience of running an important
scientific educational institution either as its Head
or Head of the Department, preferably in a Medical Institution
of National Repute. Working Experience in scale of 37400-67000
for five years.

The post carries the fixed pay scale of Rs. 80,000/- (fixed) plus Rs. 5000 as N.P.A.
plus admissible allowance as per rules. Rent free
accommodation near the Institution campus will be provided. .
4.
Upper age limit of the incumbent is fixed at 57 years.
However, for Government Servant or specially qualified
candidates age limit can be relaxed.
5.
Tenure of Service: Appointment on tenure of 3 years
(One year probation). It may be extended for another 2 years
with the approval of State Government subject to maximum age
limit of 62 years after evaluation of services rendered. His
tenure can be prematurely
terminated in public interest by
giving him a
notice of 3 months or by paying salary and allowances of 3
months in lieu thereof. The director shall also have the right
to relinquish his office prematurely
by giving a written notice to the Institute/Chairman of
not less than 3 months
duration.
6. In the event of selection of an officer
working in Central or State government he would be allowed to
maintain his / her lien in his / her parent organization for a
maximum period of 5 years.
7.
The Government will have every right to either change
amend or omit any of the clauses mentioned above as per
requirement at any stage of selection process and it shall not
be challenged in any court of law.
8.
The effective date for determining the eligibility as
per the prescribed qualification, age, experience etc. for the
post shall be 15th July, 2009.
9.
The intending candidate are required to send their full
